- Heart disease affects about 700,000 people per year. It is the most common deadly disease at #1.
- AIDS affects a few thousand people in North America and very few die. AIDS is #21 on the list of serious diseases and has been for almost two decades. AIDS is 100 percent preventable.
Yet, AIDS patients, per capita, receive 13 times more research money than heart disease.
